Over three consecutive classes at Centrepoint Craft & Fabrics, you’ll learn the essential skills needed to start crocheting with confidence, while connecting with other creative people in Waimate.

What You'll Learn
Over three consecutive classes, you'll build a solid foundation in crochet and gain the confidence to continue creating on your own.
During this workshop you will learn:
- The different types of yarn, yarn weights, and how to choose the right materials for your project
- How to read yarn labels and select the correct crochet hook
- How to hold your yarn and hook comfortably for successful crocheting
- The essential crochet stitches, including chain stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, treble crochet, and slip stitch
- How to start a project using a slip knot and magic ring
- How to create an even tension and understand gauge
- Techniques for increasing and decreasing stitches
- How to change colours within your crochet work
- How to read and understand crochet patterns, abbreviations, and chart symbols
- How to crochet your first granny square
- Tips for finishing and blocking your projects
By the end of the workshop, you'll have completed a beginner crochet project and developed the skills and confidence to continue your crochet journey independently.

- Classes are consecutive, where each class teaches new skills. So you’ll get the most out of the workshop by attending all classes.
- Spots are limited to 3 participants, so don’t miss out!

- Complete the easy online booking form and pay online. Due to the limited spaces available classes must be pre-booked and paid at moment of booking.
- Workshops are non-refundable. If you cannot attend, a credit will be held so you can attend a new workshop in the future.
- If for some reason a class has to be cancelled on my end, I will run a replacement workshop at a new to determine date that suits most of the participants.
